Juliann F. Smith has been in the financial planning industry since 1984. She is the President and founder of the independent investment and risk management firm, Advanced Financial Solutions, LLC.

Advanced Financial Solutions, LLC provides a wide selection of investment and risk management services with an emphasis on the areas of retirement planning, qualified plan rollovers, account consolidation and diversification, and risk management.

As founder of the Women’s Alliance for Financial Education, Inc., Juliann provides financial education to the public. She has served as a director and board member of various local associations, including American Business Women’s Association (ABWA), Women’s Life Underwriters Conference (WLUC), and is a past president of Kansas City Association of Insurance & Financial Advisors. She is an alumnus of the Greater Missouri Women’s Leadership Challenge, serving as a Regional Coordinator since 2005. Juliann is a Registered Representative of Moloney Securities Corporation, Inc.

MAKING A DIFFERENCE

Ms. Smith has been involved in continuous fundraising efforts for the American Heart Association, the Leukemia Society, Harvesters, and Swope Parkway Health Center.

Christina Lomas

Christina Lomas has been in the financial industry for 13 years. She is the Vice-President of Advanced Financial Solutions in Kansas City. She holds a series 6, 63, 65, 7 and insurance licenses. Christina is a Chartered Financial Analyst Candidate. She studied Pre-Law at Avila University, Economics at the University of Missouri Kansas City, and represented the Kansas City area for the International Emerging Leader of the Year Award from the e-Women Foundation.

In the area of Financial Planning, Ms. Lomas is dedicated to matching strategy with the client’s goals and objectives. She enjoys the analysis and detail that goes into structuring the portfolios of her clients. As a Chartered Financial Analyst Candidate, she is proud to be held to the absolute highest standards of Ethical and Professional Practices.

Her volunteer activities include speaking to young women of the Light House in Kansas City on topics such as finance, goal setting, and empowerment. She also rings bells for the Salvation Army every December on the Country Club Plaza. Christina is proud to be a part of the BNI Plaza Chapter, National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors, Olathe Chamber of Commerce, Better Business Bureau, Waldo Area Business Association, flourish! and the e-Women Network.

Professionally, Christina is a co-author of the book “Who Wears the Financial Pants: 12 ½ Ways for Women to Get a Leg up on Their Finances.” She has also Co-Hosted Hot Talk Radio and is the co-author of the Financial Planning Column of flourish! Magazine.

Christina enjoys playing tennis, volleyball, and traveling. She also has a part time cheerleading career, cheering on her two children, a boy age 11, and a girl age 5, at their various sporting and gymnastic activities.
